The US$3.4 billion integrated resort was open in 2018 first quarter, with its glittering jewel box-like façade towering over the Cotai Strip, MGM Cotai set the new icon of innovation in Asia.
The property decided to bring more than just gaming and relax space but cultivate art attractions to Macau. Apart from over 300 colossal art collections throughout the resort’s public spaces, the most elaborate attraction is the 4-story high Spectacle which features the massive art collections in 25 LED wall displays is one of the world’s largest collections of sensory digital arts on display.
1,390 modern and luxury guest rooms offer a relaxed and accessible experience for the guests, each guest room offers technology in-room control panels to control all aspects from lighting to air conditioning. The hotel also brings in the globally- acclaimed chefs, to have nine unique restaurants and bars, sophisticated retail and a high-end spa; which definitely offer the exceptional customer experience throughout the hotel.

Our team was appointed as client representative of Audio Visual and specialty entertainment system to provide project management, design review and solution implementation services to the property.

MGM Cotai Theater
MGM Cotai Theater is Asia’s first dynamic theatre, which can seat up to 2,000 people. The theatre is an extravagant space that uses technology to deliver multisensory theatre experiences.
The reconfigurable seating mechanism is able to configure the stage and auditorium by the automation system. Combined with 900 square meters with 28 million pixels ultra HD LED screen; the theater can be configured in more than 10 different settings to create different layouts for special performances and events, from traditional concerts, fashion shows, movies premieres to a 360-degree configuration talk shows or international DJs.
Nova Range played an essential role in the MGM Cotai theatre project as client representative for the Infrastructure Cabling System, Audio Video System, Show Control System, Show Lighting System, Special theatre systems like automation of rigging system and gala control system, etc.
The services delivered throughout the project period including project management, design review, coordination, and solution were highly appreciated by the end client.
Spectacle and shopping area
The Spectacle won Macau’s first architectural and structural GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title, with the latest free-span grid shell glazed roof (Self-supporting).
25 LED screens of different shapes and levels, array spanning the atrium’s 900-meter perimeter playing the massive digital art content 7/24 at the Spectacle atrium to offer an innovative, multi-dimensional sensation experience once the customer enters the space.
The 4K video playback content seamlessly displays on the LED screens, meanwhile, the video server also sends Art-Net to the atrium ceiling lighting to display twinkling starscape effects to enhance the immersive artistic environment.
